My Antistatic Soap

Today I noticed my hand soap said "antistatisk" on the front of it.

"Hmmmm", I thought, "Why is my soap anti-static?"

So I translated the back of it.

"plejende balsam anvendes efter harvask. efterlader haret blodt smidigt og antistatisk"

means....

"taking care of balsam is used after hair wash.
leave the hair soft supple and antistatic"

It would seem that I have been washing my hands with hair conditioner. ...and I guess my hands are now very anti-static-y.

The best part is that this bottle was actually given to me as part of a gift basket. I was told it was hand lotion. :) It seemed too soapy to be hand lotion so I had decided it was handsoap. It's called PLEJENDE BALSAM. My question now is: Is this really hair conditioner? and, Do I use it in the shower and wash it out? Sounds simple... but this really isn't.

Balsam is most definitely conditioner for hair. Love that you were using it for handsoap!

HILARIOUS!! I have some funny stories like that too! Fortunately I have a very hand "tour guide" at my disposal!
Oh, and your hands must also be amazingly soft while being "anti-static-y!

ROFLMAO! Skin lotion is, I think "hudlotion" (oh god someone please tell me that is what it is because that's what I've been rubbing all over myself for some time now). I remember the first time I went looking for shower soap. Everything said "duche" and I'm thinking, well, the women over here must be VERY hygienic... but what do they wash the rest of themselves with?

You are absolutely right. It is hair conditioner and like you said it means something like "extra caring conditioner".
Hope to see you today!

So, I just had another Danglish experience, but it was with Røget Salami...I have thrown out two packages this week thinking that the salami had gone bad...only to find out that Røget means "Smoked", I had made the assumption that it meant finely sliced. ;) Gotta love it!
